Welcome to GFWC-Battle Ground

GFWC Battle Ground is a member of GFWC on 4 levels:
•GFWC Columbia District. Our club joins other clubs in Southwest Washington.

•GFWC Western States Region. Western States including Hawaii and Alaska

• What has GFWC Washington State done that no other club has done? Given an entire park and interpretive center to the people of the state. It’s name if Federation Forest! Visit it near CleElum.
•What three of many improvements has GFWC accomplished on a national scale?
- Advocated for the white line down the middle of the road until it happened!
-Advocated for baked bread to be wrapped until it happened!
-Advocated for enactment of child labor laws until it happened!
•What is GFWC doing now through its clubs to improve the quality of our lives?
- Undertaking an awareness and prevention campaign against Domestic Violence!
You can help! GFWC Battle Ground has several projects that the community is welcome to help support:
•City’s Veterans’ Memorial Monument to be placed in Battle Ground when enough money is raised.
•GFWC nationwide Disaster Fund to Replenish Library books in towns whose library books have been destroyed by tornadoes or floods.
•Scholarship fund to be received by a Battle Ground School District senior girl.
•Bring new women’s pajamas or other sleepwear to the May 10 meeting (see calandar). These will be taken to residents at Clark County’s YWCA women’s shelter for domestic violence.
